Just when you thought you couldn’t laugh anymore at the demise of our arch rivals, they go and serve up an absolute peach with news of a new signing.

The Mutton Molestors have only gone and got themselves a shiny new mascot and he’s set to be paraded infront of the crowd on Friday night ahead of our 4th round FA Cup game at the Sheepdip.

According to the Derby Evening Telegraph, Private Derby 29th, is a Swaledale ram replacing Private Derby 28th, who died in September from natural causes. I’d like to see the post mortem report on the previous mascot before deciding if I believe it was natural causes or not. The locals do have a certain reputation you know.

I’m sure all Forest fans will give the mascot a good reception and will treat the animal with the respect it deserves. It doesn’t bare thinking about in terms of what the good folk of Derby have planned for it. And we thought the sheep masks were embarrassing.

  • Priceless…..absolutely priceless. Why do they do this to themselves? The masks were bad enough, but this is something else. Thankyou my Sheep loving friends.

  • Take your rain coats, the Shaggers will have one massive ***** fest when PD29th makes an appearance!!!!

  • I understand it is the new improved model, with easy access, & can accomodate up to eleven in the back!!!
