I suppose each result from here on out is just going to have to be taken in context of the hunt for the playoffs now that second place is officially out of reach.

Do we now start focusing on the playoffs and getting players in a good state in terms of fitness, which might explain a few of the changes that were made to the team, or do we try and get some form together ahead of those games?

Well I’m not sure what this result is meant to tell us. Possibly everything, possibly nothing.

Forest drew 1-1 away to Preston North End this afternoon, in a game that didn’t really have that much about it, with only three shots on target between the two sides.

Does Carvalho need to be played more?

Yes

Yes

No

And it was the lack of clear-cut chances up top that led fans to continue their call for Joao Carvalho, who chipped in with eight assists last season, so can clearly offer something up top.

What about you? What did you make of the result?

I can understand the fans frustration but the aim is to hold on for a playoff position without any major injuries allowing Sabri the luxury of a fully fit squad giving him many options with formation. I don’t feel we’ve seen the real forest since the Leeds game and for good reason, no reason to burn yourself out totally or get injured when a possible “final looms” just keep playing safe and secure for that play off but grab the points to maintain a safe distance from the chasing pack.
