Are we on the verge of the next Peter Shilton?
Well probably not, because he’s going to have to achieve a lot to get anywhere near the ‘legend’ status that Shilton currently holds. However, if he keeps up the current career trajectory, then who knows where he could end up?
I’m talking of course about Brice Samba and his displays between the sticks. Whilst it’s impossible to tell just how much of Forest’s unbeaten run has been down to him, but when you consider he’s saving 83.3% of the shots he’s faced so far, it’s fair to say that he has certainly played his part.
Although I suspect that his performances are just kind of amplified by the sort of displays that his backup Aro Muric has put in, especially for his country last week, which might be why he doesn’t receive the sort of, how should I put this, ‘feedback’ that Muric does.
So when the keeper posted on his Twitter page in the aftermath of the victory over Swansea at the weekend, Forest fans were quick to reply with just how much they appreciate his efforts so far this season.
The keeper we’ve been waiting for. This is our season.
