poor reserve game

Image for poor reserve game

After watching another game of Reserve football i wasn’t impressed with what i was watching. There were few chances created by Forest even with Kris Commons in the side. The younger players didn’t impress me again which makes me worry more about the strength we have in our squad. The likes of Hughes and McGugan didn’t control the game against players of a similar age they were playing against.

Player Ratings

Shane Redmond
Is he now ahead of Paddy Gamble in the order of goalkeepers at the club as Paddy was on the bench today. He didn’t have many saves to make and did well.

Brendon Moloney
Had a lot of the ball in both halfs but his end product wasn’t up to it and he doesn’t look to have much potential.

Joe Heath
Played well and won most tackles but didn’t get to attack much like Moloney.

Vincent Fernandez
He was back from his loan spell from Grays and was made Captain. He played well and won most headers and tackles.

Hamza Bencherif
He scored the Forest goal and played well but wasn’t troubled to much by the Huddersfield attack.

Lewis McGugan
He did ok in spells of the game but seems to fade out to often. Looks to have potential but maybe not ready for the First team just yet.

Robert Hughes
Another game i have seen him in and another game he fails to impress me. Seems to offer very little and his game was summed up when McGugan played a ball to him and he wasn’t even watching the game and the ball went out for a throwing. I would not be sad to see him leave the club. Not good enough for the first team unless he improve a lot.

Kris Commons
He had one shot and walked through the game which was a shame. He was taken off during half-time.

Scott Dobie
Didn’t do a great deal in the game and i can only recall him having one shot.

Ben Fairclough
I am guessing he is at the club for his surname because he looked poor again and shouldn’t be playing ahead of players like Newbold and Whitehurst. He seems miles behind them.

Alan Power
He has some nice foot work but is very small in build and didn’t get involved to much in the game and this is something he must start to do more of.

Emile Sinclair
Was a waste of time bring him of for Scott Dobie as he offered very little.

James Reid
Came on for Kris Commons but didn’t get into the game.

Manager Rating
It would seem like i am not the only person to feel unhappy with the quality levels of certain players as during the game McParland and Kerslake were often shouting at players like Hughes and Fernandez.
