Nottingham Forest welcomed Queens Park Rangers to the City Ground on Saturday for our latest Championship action, and it’s not unfair to say the day didn’t exactly go to plan.

Despite better dominating the game, we didn’t have our shooting boots on and with good chances created, I think it was only inside of the final 20 minutes were we actually managed to test their keeper on a couple of occasions.

By then though we were already trailing as the visitors had opened the scoring shortly before the halftime break and we lost 1-0 lacking any answers.

Manager Aitor Karanka criticised the performance immediately post game, and his view on the match was backed up by Whoscored who really weren’t favourable in their ratings.

23-year-old Saidy Janko took the Man of the Match rating with 7.67 as he impressed, but only Adlene Guedioura and Jack Robinson received seven-plus ratings after him.

Jack Colback and Ben Osborn did complete the top five on the day but by comparison, QPR had eight players at 7+ and two with 8+ scores.

Hopefully, just a bad day at the office.
