Vital Football Members League: Points System

The members league points system accredits a users account with a varying amount of points every time a contribution is made to the site in the following three areas:

A Forum Post
An Article Response/Comment
A Poll Vote

Members scores are maximised by an even contribution through these three areas. That is to say a mixed balance of forum posts, article responses and polls will result in a none penalised score rating.

Contribution that is focused in only one area will suffer a degeneration of points allocated, i.e. points will be accrued more slowly. Therefore, if a member only receives points from posting on forums, the points allocated will slowly devalue over time, so whilst originally one point would be allocated per post, after the user had reached a certain threshold they would only receive a fraction of a point per post.

Article Responses/Comments under a certain length of words or characters will not register any points on the system at all, therefore it is important to always ensure your contribution to the network is sensible and primarily of interest to other football fans.

Any obvious mis-use of the networks contribution methods will results in instant disqualification from the members league for that month. Repeat offenders could face having their membership revoked.

Each club and league have their own members league table, however as yet, only the overall networks top contributor will be eligible for prizes. In the future the competition will expand to reward each leagues top member (i.e. premiership, championship) and looking ahead, each clubs top member.

Good Luck!
