Nottingham Forest have confirmed Rob Page has left his coaching role at the City Ground to take up a post with the Welsh Football Association.

Having been linked with the position as Wales U21 boss earlier in the month Page’s appointment was announced this week, which brings an end to his brief spell with Forest.

Page had been appointment as first team coach by former caretaker boss Gary Brazil in January after his sacking by League 1 club Northampton earlier in the season.

The former defender – who was capped 41 times by Wales during his playing career – will not only be in charge of the U21 side he’ll also be looking after the Welsh U17 and U19 sides too.

He was wished well by the club on the Official Website upon his exit.

‘Nottingham Forest would like to thank Rob for his efforts during his time at the club and wish him well for the future.’
