The much anticipated, and needed, arrivals at Forest this summer are failing to materialise so far – and ‘reports’ at the weekend suggest an attempt to sign Jermaine Johnson has failed.

Many Forest fans are becoming more and more anxious at the lack of arrivals, coupled with the players leaving, or ‘reportedly’ making exits with exits from The City Ground. The attempts to recruit, as far as The Star on Sunday goes, suffered a setback recently as the paper ‘claims’ that a £350,000 offer to Sheffield Wednesday for the 30-year-old forward has been rejected.

Billy Davies is ‘said’ to be keen to add Johnson to his squad to help Forest’s promotion bid this season but Wednesday, relegated to league one last season, ‘want more money’ for the Jamaican international.

Would you like to see Jermaine Johnson join Forest, or would you rather attention was turned to other players anyway?

  • first i’ve heard of this one. he was probably one of their best players last season, but he’s 30 now, so not really anyone for the long term. then again, anybody would be good atm!

  • I wouldn’t want to see him leave SWFC at least not for 350K as he is one of our better players. He’s very quick, can beat defenders with ease but doesn’t always pick out the right cross or pass. His finishing isn’t that great either. If he could sort the negatives of his game out he would be playing in the Premiereship.
