Don’t think he was going to escape that easily.
Whilst he may have got the assist for Nottingham Forest’s winner on Tuesday night, that doesn’t mean that he was going to be free from criticism for his display in front of goal. Despite being the club’s top scorer, Lewis Grabban has been on an incredibly baron run in recent games, having not found the back of the net since the game against Reading back in January.
And whilst his display in other areas of the pitch has earned him some praise, there is a large part of the Nottingham Forest fan base that isn’t quite as happy with how he’s performed recently, best exemplified by this miss in the first half of the game against Cardiff City.
So it was no surprise that after going yet another game without finding the back of the net, that Reds fans were ready to tear into him for his efforts, or indeed lack thereof.
Might not be popular, but the amount of ‘easy’ / clear chances Grabban has missed in recent weeks has cost us

Grabban looks like he’d rather be elsewhere to me. Lolley and cash the only ones creating anything. It’s not very good is it #NFFC

Unfortunately Grabban has chosen a bad time to morph into Silenzi #NFFC

I don’t think Grabban is fit #nffc

As I said, whilst he’s contributing in other areas and the team is winning games, this stuff might seem like small potatoes, it’s when the team starts losing or he isn’t pulling his weight elsewhere that it might start to become a problem.
