As per Nottinghamshire Live, Peterborough United manager Steve Evans recently told the Peterborough Telegraph that Jason Cummings’s loan move at the ABAX Stadium would be cut short because of his loss of focus.

He said: “Jason was sensational when he first got here, but off the field stuff then affected his focus and he’s not been the same since. It’s not happened for him here, which is a shame.”

The 23-year-old has scored and created 13 goals in 29 games for Posh this season but his form dipped in recent weeks. Cummings has gone five months without a goal and has bagged just one assist since August.

Peterborough can cut his loan move short, but Forest can’t recall him unless they loan him back out to another side. Posh chairman Darragh MacAnthony revealed on Twitter that Cummings can leave if another side sign him.

United’s owner added that there have been offers for the Scotland international but nothing has materialised. Cummings is expected to spent the remainder of the season away from Forest, but he may not have a future at the City Ground upon his return next summer either.

The outcast has scored only four goals in 17 games since his 2017-move from Hibernian and hasn’t featured for the Reds since December 2017. He spent the second-half of his debut season on loan at Rangers and was shipped out to Peterborough the following campaign. His time might be up at Forest.
