I don’t want to sound like I’m plugging Tesco here, but in this situation, it really is an appropriate comparison to make.

Every little does help.

I’ve spoken recently about how the club could be in a position to sell off a number of our ‘key players’ this summer in order to rebuild, but that doesn’t mean we should be restricting ourselves to just those players, there’s a lot of other deadwood that we can get rid of in the process.

According to a report in SportsWorldGhana, Birmingham City are interested in bringing in 32-year-old winger Albert Adomah, with a fee of £1m being discussed.

It’s pretty clear that Adomah isn’t exactly the flavour of the month for head coach Sabri Lamouchi. He started off the season with regular minutes in the first-team, however they slowly dwindled away throughout the campaign before being shipped out on loan to Cardiff, scoring just three goals for us during that time.

Are you confident about the summer transfer window?

Yes

Yes

No

No

Therefore, it doesn’t really make much sense for him to be sticking around, and if there is a club that is willing to take him off our hands, and more importantly pay for the privilege, then I can’t exactly make much of an argument for us turning it down.

And whilst £1m might not sound like a lot of money, especially in comparison to the other fees that seem to be floating around when it comes to Forest players this summer, I’d rather us have that than have someone on the team that isn’t contributing much to the team, perhaps use it to fund another one of the cheap transfers that made an impact for us this season (like Brice Samba & Samba Sow).

What about you? Do you think we should be thinking of getting rid of Adomah?
