Jack Robinson may have an uncertain future at Nottingham Forest after struggling for form and playing time in the final year of his contract. The 26-year-old lost his place at left-back to Yuri Ribiero and may be unsure over his role under Sabri Lamouchi.

If Robinson fails to put pen to paper on a contract extension, he could leave Forest on a free transfer next summer. That being said, Forest are likely to retain the former England u21 international. He’s made 11 Championship appearances and will provide cover for Ribiero if left out of the starting eleven.

Robinson’s future is uncertain as Lamouchi has fallen out of love for the 26-year-old. The left-back played every minute of every league game until September and has found his place up for grabs ever since. Robinson has started only four of Forest’s last nine matches while playing just seven minutes of football in November.

Should Yuri Ribeiro keep his place at left-back ahead of Jack Robinson?

Forest won’t want to lose a useful squad player for nothing next summer, but Robinson may want assurances over his role under Lamouchi before considering staying past 2020. The 26-year-old has been a regular at the City Ground since joining from Queens Park Rangers in 2018 (52 appearances), so the idea of being subsidiary may not appeal to him.
