Is it simply a case of no news being good news?

Or is it a case of there being no news because they’ve got more pressing things on their mind?

Clubs across the EFL are step by step unveiling their ‘retained list’ and announcing details of players who will not be with them next season. We saw Scunthorpe United announce that they are releasing former Forest man James Perch, whilst fellow Championship side Birmingham City have been announcing a few of their deals.

However, Nottingham Forest have been pretty quiet over the matter, and I’m not so sure what to make of it.

As I said earlier, it could be because we are focusing on more important things, with us being so high in the Championship table, decisions might be affected by what division we’re in next season and what kind of squad we could be looking at keeping hold of or getting rid of.

Should the club be more active in unveiling their 'retained list'

Yes

Yes

No

No

But at the same time, when you look at the amount of players that we have in our squad that are out of contract in a few months time, be they on loan or coming to the end of their permanent deals, you see that there’s a lot of work to be done when to sorting out which players are going to stay and which players are going to go.

And it would just give me, and perhaps a few other fans as well that little bit more peace of mind giving us an idea of what our plans are for the window based on what players are going to be departing.

What about you? Are you anxious to see the players that we are going to be getting rid of this summer?
