O’Neill Doesn’t Give Forest Man A Fresh Slate As He Heads Out Loan – One Of Three Departures

|

It has been a busy day in the Nottingham Forest offices as new manager Martin O’Neill has made decisions on a further three players and striker Jason Cummings becomes the latest to head out the door as he heads to Luton Town. Toby Edser has headed to Port Vale and Virgil Gomis heads across Nottingham to Meadow Lane.

23-year-old Cummings had been out on loan with Peterborough United in the first half of 2018/19 and he contributed eight goals in 15 starting appearances and 14 substitute showings for the Posh. Having ended up back at the City Ground in the New Year though, few thought he would get an immediate chance under O’Neill so a loan move isn’t a great surprise.

19-year-old Academy graduate Edser heads to Vale Park to bolster Port Vale’s midfield in the second half of the year and it will be his first taste of League Two action.

A few hours back we also did Notts County another favour as fellow 19-year-old Academy graduate Gomis made the switch to County until the end of the year for what will also be his first League Two action.

Quite a productive day really.
