Well, this one certainly came out of nowhere, and yet at the same time, it’s not really that surprising. Roy Keane has left his post as assistant manager of Nottingham Forest.
Nobody quite knows why the Irishman has left, although some reports are suggesting that he did it to further pursue his managerial career, having not been in a managerial role since he was sacked by Ipswich back in 2011.
So when the news broke on Sunday, Forest fans took to Twitter to express their views on what this means for the club going forward.
You’d think that his status as a former player for the club would afford him some level of slack amongst Forest fans, particularly his relationship with Forest’s greatest ever manager Brian Clough, but that doesn’t seem to be the case amongst these supporters.
His heart was never in it anyway. No big loss.

Perhaps the biggest takeaway from all this, is how much vitriol is pointed not just towards Keane but to Martin O’Neill as well, especially as he’s also considered a club legend after his playing days in which he helped the club win back to back European Cups. It seems that his 42% win ratio last year just isn’t good enough.
Now the other one please
