Steve Evans though is only a favourite as far as the bookies are concerned!

Which doesn’t actually mean he’ll become the next Nottingham Forest boss does it? I would think he would see opinions divided couldn’t he if appointed?

His contract with Leeds does expire at the end of the season and given how often they change the man in charge (kettle, pot and all that I know but Leeds change several times a season) he could well take his leave of Elland Road in the summer so could be available.

Evans is currently the second favourite behind former Leicester boss Nigel Pearson, who was at the City Ground when Forest were beaten by Brighton recently fuelling speculation about a possible appointment.

This, if it happened, would be a really good appointment in my book.

Others ‘in contention’ (with the bookies) are Gus Poyet, Martin O’Neill, Nigel Clough and former boss Steve Cotterill, we’ve reappointed before of course! Gianfranco Zola an outside bet.

But Serbian Ivan Vukomanovic is ‘no longer in the running’ according to the Nottingham Post.

He said he held ‘face to face talks’ with the club, which saved him from being in Brussels airport during the attacks last month, but the former Charlton assistant and Standard Liege boss is taking on a coaching role within the Serbian national side so that rules him out!
