Official: Nottingham Forest youngster has ‘extended’ his loan spell

|

Jordan Wright has ‘extended’ his loan spell at Nuneaton Borough, the club confirmed over the weekend. Wright joined the Southern League Premier Division side in September and has clearly made an impression at the Liberty Way Ground in his short-term stint.

The 20-year-old, who has played for Alfreton Town and Kettering Town on loan, finds himself behind Brice Samba, Arijanet Muric, Jordan Smith, Costel Pantilimon, Luke Steele and Marios Siabanis in the pecking order at Forest and sought another temporary move away to get playing time.

With Cam Belford signing for Ashton United on loan, Wright had an opportunity for first-team football at Boro and has been a regular for the in-form outfit ever since.

He made his Nuneaton debut in their 2-0 defeat to Biggleswade 1874 (September 14) while starring in their 4-0 win over Stourbridge (September 18), 3-2 win over Alvechurch (September 21), 3-1 win over Barwell (September 28), 2-0 defeat to St. Ives Town (October 5), 3-2 win over Rushall (October 8) and 3-0 win over Redditch (October 12).

Wright has now signed a new deal until November and will continue to help them with their promotion push in the Southern League Premier Division (Central) (cental) – Nuneaton are currently eighth in the table with 19 points from 12 games.
