Martin O’Neill has confirmed that Lewis Grabban is “available now” ahead of Saturday’s meeting with Swansea City. The Nottingham Forest striker has been sidelined since mid-February with an achilles injury, missing five league games, but his return is good news for O’Neill.

The Forest manager told the official club website: “Lewis Grabban (is) available now. (He is) available and that is good news for us.” The Reds have been short of form in recent weeks, picking up only one win from their last four games.

Forest currently sit 11th in the Championship with 54 points from 38 games, three points adrift of the playoffs. A win on Saturday could see them go level with sides in the top-six.

Grabban had been in poor form prior to his injury, scoring only one goal in 2019, but his comeback could see goals return to Forest now he’s fully fit. The Midlands outfit have scored one or less goals in five of their last six league games and can’t afford to drop more points for the sake of their promotion bid.

Forest welcome Swansea to the City Ground on Saturday and boast four wins from their last five home games which sees them as favourites to come out on top.
