Both Forest & Watford head into this game looking for their 1st win. Forest’s season seems to be very similar to last so far (although it seems with more reasons for optimism). Starting with a goalless draw with Reading, then comfortable home win in the cup over lower league opposition followed by a defeat to a team new to this league & then head into a home fixture with Watford, lets hope for the same result.

Vital Quotes:

With Adebola missing a couple of sitters and too old for 2 games in three days we’re hoping to see Blackstock start after looking class when he came on as a sub.

Nottingham Forest Team News:

With Chambers missing the last of the three match ban, Wilson still injured & Bennett out for some months the defence basically picks itself. Tyson played his best game for some time on the left so should retain his place but Anderson seemed to struggle to get into the last game and may be replayed there by either McCleary or moving Garner out wide. Davies could revert to a front two which could see Blackstock start along side either Earnshaw or McGoldrick.

Player to watch: Nathan Tyson

Looked dangerous every time he got on the ball against West Brom & could be the solution to Forest’s left sided problem.

Watford Team News:

Nathan Ellington is back at Vicarage Road after wasting a year of his career in Derby. Watford also kept hold of both Tommy Smith & Jobi McAnuff who are plenty good enough to create chances in the Championship. After their defeat to Sheffield United Watford boss and former player Malky Mackay told their official web site ‘As long as I’m seeing decent build-up play and running about in the box, then I think the goals will come’. Sounds a bit like Forest really.

Player to watch: Tommy Smith

The attacking midfielder top scored for Watford last season with 17 league goals whilst also toping their assists league with 9. forest fans may remember he scored two in their last visit to the City Ground.

Match Facts & Stats

In 30 league encounters between the two teams Forest have taken 11 victories and Watford 9 (10 draws). Forest have comfortably outscored their opponents though with 57 goals compared to just 35 for Watford.

Match Prediction:

What the hell, 3 – 2 again, it sounds like fun.
