Sky Sports News are reporting that Forest are hot on the heels of Bristol City striker Dele Adebola and that Billy Davies has even offered the 33 year old a two year deal to bring him to the City Ground.

It’s no secret that Davies is an admirer of the bulky striker, after having a January move for the player turned down. He’s refused to sign a new contract at City, after failing to negotiate a long enough deal.

Forest could capture him on a free, which would go some way to sweetening any proposed deal, but we face competition from Queens Park Rangers, Sheffield Wednesday and Sheffield United.

Interest in Gary McSheffrey continues, but his former club Coventry may be about to make a move for the Brum striker/winger also. He’d be available for around a million and has been told by the Prem bound club that he’s surplus to requirements at St. Andrews.

Although we haven’t any confirmed signings yet, it does look as though things are hotting up. July 1 is officially the day the transfer window opens, but hopefully we’ll have a few confirmations before then.
