Nottingham Forest’s run without a win or goal extended to three games over the weekend, with Aitor Karanka’s men suffering a 1-0 defeat to Queens Park Rangers.

Lewis Grabban is enduring a cold spell in front of goal, Joe Lolley has been accused of letting transfer rumours get to his head while Joao Carvalho isn’t as effective in the final third of late.

Karanka can’t seem to get much action out of his left-wingers either, with Gil Dias being dropped and Ben Osborne failing to create a chance on the flank against QPR.

With no obvious option having nailed down a starting place on the left-wing, Karanka might be forced to spend in January. With Forest chasing a playoff spot in the Championship, they’ll set their sights high in the transfer market.

They could look at bringing in a loan player from the Premier League in January to help them for the tail-end of the season, but Vital Forest have already suggested Oliver Burke be enquired about a return next month.

Former player Albert Adomah could be an ambitious signing too, although Aston Villa might be reticent to let him leave given how valuable he can be from the bench. Time will tell what Forest do in January.
