Nottingham Forest have injury doubt ahead of QPR clash, defender being ‘assessed’

According to BBC Sport, Nottingham Forest could be without Tendayi Darikwa against Queens Park Rangers. The 27-year-old has been out of action for nearly a month with a hamstring injury. Darikwa’s last appearance for Forest was against Swansea City on March 30.
Matty Cash started as a makeshift right wing-back in Monday’s 3-0 win over Middlesbrough and could retain his place at Loftus Road. Sam Byram has recovered from concussion and will be in contention too. And with Saidy Janko also an option, Martin O’Neill is somewhat spoilt for choice at right-back.
Darikwa had been a regular for the majority of the campaign, making 31 appearances in all competitions, but the Zimbabwe international may be forced to sit the rest of the season out. If BBC Sport say he’s still be assessed one day before the game, it means he’s not 100%.
O’Neill doesn’t need to risk playing Darikwa given the other options available. Forest have nothing to play for this season either. The Reds are currently 11th in the Championship with 60 points from 44 games, seven adrift of the playoffs.
Forest will nevertheless hope to end the campaign on a high by maintaining their winning record.
