According to Hull Daily Mail, Nottingham Forest are ‘expressing an interest’ in Tyrone Mings. The Bournemouth centre-back has struggled for playing time this season and could be open to a temporary move away from Dean Court to get first-team football. The Cherries’ recent signing of Brentford defender Chris Mepham has added further competition too.

Mings, who can also play at left-back, has made only five Premier League appearances this campaign, the last of which was nearly four weeks ago against Manchester United. With Nathan Ake and Steve Cook ahead of the 25-year-old in the pecking order under Eddie Howe, Forest could present Mings with an escape route.

Hull City, West Bromwich Albion and Aston Villa are keen on the English defender who is expected to move away from Bournemouth on loan this month. Mings has made only 23 appearances in all competitions since joining the Cherries from Ipswich Town in 2015, but his future at Dean Court is uncertain.

Injuries have kept Mings on the periphery in the last three-and-a-half years, but he’ll have plenty of options in January to turn and turn his fledgling career around. Forest have a tough task of convincing him to the City Ground, but the promise of first-team football could be enough.
