Unconfirmed reports via various sources this evening are saying that the takeover of Nottingham Forest Football Club, by Kuwait based Fawaz Al-Hasawi and his brothers Abdulaziz and Omar, is now complete.
There has so far been no official comment from NFFC, but it’s believed a statement from the solicitors working for the Doughty estate will be making some comment tonight.
The main reason for believing the deal is now complete, comes from Fawaz Al-Hasawi’s own twitter account, which has been verified as genuine. Within the last hour he tweeted, in slightly less than perfect English. ‘We have successfully completed the purchase club Nottingham Forest have we become landlords and formally thank my older brother Abdul Aziz Ali and Omar Hasawi except what its effort.’
