Cameron Jerome was reportedly one of the options that the club were considering as a possible loan signing on deadline day.

The 6ft 1 striker is not part of Frank Lampard’s plans at Derby and Aitor Karanka didn’t rule out a move for the 32-year-old when asked about the player after Wednesday’s victory over Newcastle.

When we polled fans about whether they thought that Jerome would be a good signing, a sizeable majority were opposed to the move going ahead:

Although the Derby forward would certainly be a capable target man, his age and pretty poor goal record wouldn’t make him my first choice to replace Ben Brereton by a long shot.

In any case, it seems that Jerome could be on his way to Goztepe in Turkey with the newspaper Haberturk suggesting that the Super Lig club are looking to seal a move for the forward before the window closes.
