Looks like there’s three Tiago Silva’s after all.
Not only do we have the Brazilian defender and the song that has taken the country by storm after Glastonbury, but there’s also the Portuguese midfielder. The latter of the three just so happens to have signed with Nottingham Forest.
The midfielder joins from Portuguese side Feirense and is the first signing to be made under the guise of new boss Sabri Lamouchi. Obviously, someone has been reading Vital Forest recently.
What’s also key to point out, is that those ‘in the know’ believe that the signing of Silva does not mean that he will replace Joao Carvalho, who has been linked with a move to Olympiacos. So fans shouldn’t read this as a direct like-for-like swap between the two players.
When the deal finally made its way over the line, naturally these Forest fans were overjoyed to see someone that they’ve been chasing for so long finally got over the line, especially as it got to the stage of the Forest fans begging for the transfer to be done, which just as an aside, wasn’t funny when it first started and isn’t funny now.
It’s nice to have a bit of positivity on the @NFFC timeline. ????????
