Goalkeeper Lee Camp proved that England’s loss, was most certainly Northern Ireland’s gain, following his international debut at the weekend. Camp played 2 full 90 minute games and he did his growing reputation no harm at all, with more than credible performances in the 2-1 away defeat to Serbia and the 0-0 draw at home to Slovenia.

Another Forest player on international duty was defender Chris Gunter (Wales), who put in a good display, despite the 2-0 defeat at the Millennium Stadium against England. Hopefully, both Camp and Gunter return to the City Ground fully fit and able to play their part in the final run-in, beginning at Leeds Utd on Saturday.

The Stiffs were given a bloody nose on Tuesday, when they were thumped 7-1 by a strong Derby reserve side at Ilkeston’s New Manor Ground. In truth, it was men against boys, with many of the Derby side having a shed load of first team appearances under their belts already. None of the Forest lads had any first team experience at all and were all Academy players. The Sheep are bigging the result up of course, so expect a DVD of the game to be on sale soon!

There was potentially some good news emanating from the NEP today, with a report saying that highly rated youngster Jamaal Lascelles has been given a professional contract. It doesn’t say how long for, but with a host of Premiership clubs supposedly after his signature, it will be good to have his future secured with us.

Potentially bad news for fans of Joel Lynch, in that there’s a rumour Norwich City are in for him. According to footybunker.com, he’s highly thought of by the Canaries, who say he has a future in the Prem.

And finally. Young Forest fan and forum member Skinner Red, would like your help, to give him and his mates, the chance to play at the Emirates. Just Click Here and then click “Like.” Thankfully it’s back to football this weekend, with hopefully a win to celebrate and keep ourselves amused.
