Forest meet up with former fans favourite Brian Laws in this televised game. Laws has been in charge of The Iron since 1997, before that he was manager at Grimsby.

Vital Quotes:

Calderwood on Scunthorpe: ‘Scunthorpe are a really organised team, they are very set in their ways.

‘They have a continuity to the way that they play, they are formidable in lots of areas and strong and organised throughout the team.

‘The front two were very impressive when I watched them and the reports I have had back have said the same.

‘They can cause problems individually, but there is service from the rest of the team as well.’

Nottingham Forest Team News:

Forest will be without Junior Agogo and Sammy Clingan.

Striker Agogo is on international duty with Ghana, while midfielder Clingan is in the Northern Ireland squad for their Euro 2008 qualifiers against Denmark and Latvia.

Julian Bennett is expected to make the starting line up after being dropped to the bench for last weeks match.

Player to watch: Kris Commons

Commons is almost back to full match fitness and has been impressive since his return from injury. He bagged his first goal of the season against Swansea and had an assist in the game as well.

Scunthorpe United Team News:

Brian Laws has no new injury worries ahead of the game, but will be without Steve Torpey and Andy Butler. He is expected to name an unchanged side.

Player to watch: Billy Sharp

Striker Billy Sharp is surely one of the hottest properties in League 1. Already on 8 goals for the season he will need to be watched closely. He scored 24 goals last season.

Match Facts & Stats

The sides have only met twice in the League before and they were both last season. The Iron ran out the victors on both occasions, 3-1 at Glanford Park and 1-0 at the City Ground.

Scunthorpe arrive in a rich vein of form. Unbeaten in five, last time out beating Doncaster 2-0. The Reds’ will be looking to add to last weeks victory at home to Swansea, but will be more than aware that the game is on Sky, where they have not performed well in front of the cameras. Nonetheless, Forest remain on top of League 1 and if Bristol fail to beat Brentford today, they could be 6 points clear at the top by tea time.

  • They will be a tough opposition but i think we should be able to beat them. Even though we are on TV

  • No one, even the scunthorpe fans, manager or anyone realted with the club even had a thought of drubbing you boys 4-0
