It’s first versus second in this top of the table clash. Both teams were hotly tipped for promotion last season and both teams failed. This season however looks a little different for both sides as they look to cement their places at the top of League 1.
Ahead of the game, The Reds’ are two points clear of The Robins’ and could go 5 points clear with a win. City however have lost only once on their travels so far this term and will look to continue their good form.
The Robins’have had more than their fair share of contoversy this season. First up was a pitch bust up with two of their players in a game against Northampton, that saw Bradley Orr sent off. Three days later, Orr, Steve Brooker and David Partridge were all jailed for their part in a disturbance at a Bristol nightclub in October 2005. Orr has since done his time and returned to become a regular in the City defence.
Forest meanwhile will be keen to show the home fans they have put the Scunthorpe debacle behind them with an improved performance against an in form Bristol City. The Reds’ have won their last two games, both against Gillingham, since the Sky TV horror show.

Forest should have Danny Cullip available from the start, as he continues his way back to fitness. Gary Holt will miss out as he is recovering from surgery, otherwise The Reds’ have no fresh injury worries ahead of the game.

The striker has found the net five times this season. The former Yeovil man joined the Robins in May on a free transfer and has become a hit with the fans.
