It’s been rumoured for sometime that Forest striker Junior Agogo would be on his way out of the City Ground and following weeks of frantic speculation, the official site have announced that he will join Egyptian Champions Zamalek.

Although no fee has been mentioned, the news from Egypt is that Zamalek will pay Forest £950,000 for the Ghanaian international. He’s apparently been given a 4 year deal, worth ?350,000 a year. Junior finished the last campaign as the clubs top scorer with 13 goals and played a major part in Ghana’s ACON success.

He’s made no secret of his desire to move on from the City Ground, but fans shouldn’t hold that against him. He’s a much travelled player and has never stayed in one place too long. He owes us nothing and has served us well. He was signed from Bristol Rovers for an undisclosed fee, but it was rumoured to be between £150-200,000, so it’s a decent bit of business for the Reds’.

Good luck to him in his latest venture, he’s been a character and it’s been fun watching him play.
