There are no less than 23 names on the latest Vital Forest Forum Poll for the new manager post, with most of them picking up votes. The only thing that fans seem agreed on though, is not wanting Billy Davies in charge.

But if you take a glancing look at the Oddschecker site at the top of this page, he’s the bookies favourite and hotly tipped to get the job.

Nigel Clough gets the thumbs up from many fans, as does Alan Curbishley. According to The Sunday People, Barnsley boss Simon Davey is our man and a new name to go into the mix. They report that Nigel Doughty is a big admirer.

Elsewhere, The News of the World says Roy Keane is the man to take the hot seat. The former Forest player has been linked with the job for weeks, but this report also says Nigel Clough is being looked at.

Chairman Nigel Doughty has a tough job on his hands in getting this one right. He could do alot worse than to take a look at a few of these Forest sites to guage opinion. One thing seems certain, the majority of fans don’t want Billy Davies.
