Goalkeeper Luke Steele has confirmed his departure from Nottingham Forest following two years at the club.
Steele joined Forest from Bristol City back in the summer of 2018, but made just seven appearances in all competitions for the club, and spent this season on loan with Championship rivals Millwall.
Now, with his contract at The City Ground expiring this summer, Steele has confirmed that he will not be extending his stay at the club beyond the end of the current campaign.
Revealing the news in a post on his Twitter account, Steele thanked the club for the chance to making a “dream move” to the City Ground, and admitted that he was “gutted” not to have played more games for the club during his time there.
2 years ago I signed for what I had said for years was a dream move for me so thanks @NFFC for the opportunity. I was gutted not to play a bit more than I did but that’s football for you…! Steely pic.twitter.com/iCBX0odZVo

Responding to Steele’s post, plenty of Forest fans were keen to pay tribute to the 35-year-old for the contribution he did make during his time at the club.
Here, we take a look at what some of those supporters had to say to the goalkeeper.
Decent when you did play mate! All the best
