Given the plethora of new signings that we’ve completed, it’s natural that players must depart to balance the books and maintain financial stability. The latest player who has been linked with a move away from the City Ground is Michael Mancienne.
As Nottinghamshire Live reports, the 30-year-old defender is the subject of interest Çaykur Rizespor who play in Turkey’s second division. It is believed that the former Chelsea defender will not be included in Aitor Karanka’s plans for the season.
Here’s how Forest supporters have reacted to the news on Twitter.
Pity, I reckon he could still be quite useful

Not sure mate, We have more than enough cover at CB. He can be a liability, and his wages are probably high. Id be glad to see the back of him, and let Lam be a cover CB (Thats if hes in the picture, with 2 seasons out on loan) #NFFC

Shame. Was pretty decent when he first joined but slowly went downhill. Not a bad player and would be good backup but he's the most likely to be able to move on.

The problem with Mance is the fact he is mentally weak , He needs a fresh start.

To his credit, the 30-year-old has made purposeful contributions to our cause since joining the club from Hamburg in 2014. He also flaunts valuable qualities such as his versatility, and decent passing ability. However, given the increased competition for defensive players, this summer could represent the most appropriate time to cash-in on the defender.
