Blackburn Rovers boss Tony Mowbray has said the club are looking to secure three separate loan deals before the end of the month.

The Championship club’s manager wouldn’t confirm the name of the three players in question but the Lancashire Telegraph reports that one of those offers is for Ben Brereton.

Mowbray did say that deals could be done very quickly if everything goes to plan:

“We’re working on three, there’s three on the move, whether they hit the buffers and don’t happen we’ll wait and see. They might all come in a short space of time, who knows, let’s wait and see.”

Journalist Alan Nixon reported yesterday that a loan bid with a £6m option to purchase had been made for Brereton. However, we are believed to be looking for double that with a £12m price tag having been placed on the 19-year-old.

Aitor Karanka has said he doesn’t know whether he would sanction a loan deal for the striker and that any move would have to be right for the player and the club. It seems that Blackburn will have to up their offer quite substantially if we are to even consider letting him go before the window closes.
