With five ins and outs rounded up earlier this evening, Aitor Karanka hadn’t finished with his deadline day dealings for Nottingham Forest.

Matt Mills has now left the City Ground after agreement was struck to mutually terminate his deal. The centre half leaves having arrived at the club back in 2015 and he departs with 72 appearances to his name. He has now joined Barnsley.

The club made another permanent capture and that came in the shape of Huddersfield Town’s winger Joe Lolley. The 25 year old comes in from the John Smith’s Stadium for an undisclosed fee, signing a four and a half year deal at the club.

He comes in just shy of 100 appearances for Huddersfield following his arrival from non league football in 2014 but he does have good Championship experience and scored in their recent game with West Ham in the Premier League.

Goalkeeper Stephen Henderson was another departure, as he makes the move to League One side Portsmouth on a loan spell until the end of the current campaign.

Jamie Ward also departs to Cardiff City, but that deal sees 29 year old midfielder Lee Tomlin arrive at Forest as part of a swap deal. Both moves are loans and will expire in the summer.

Zach Clough also heads out looking for greater game time and he follows Tyler Walker and goes to Bolton Wanderers and the Macron Stadium on a loan deal until the end of the game. He of course returns to his former club.

Midfielder Jack Colback also comes in on loan from Newcastle United. The 28 year old began life at Sunderland before making the switch to Newcastle and playing his part in helping them to the Championship title last season and promotion back to the top flight.

Adlene Guedioura also returns to the club, signing a two and a half year deal. The 32 year old played for Forest back between 2012 and 2013, joining on loan initially in January 2012 before making the deal permanent going into the 2012-13 season. That spell saw him score four times in 61 appearances.
