With nine games played, Forest currently sit top of League One but Tranmere lie only one point of the early pace setters ahead of their clash on saturday.

Although Moore admits the game won’t settle anything at this early in the season, the Rovers boss feels that whoever grabs the 3 points will have gained a huge boost in confidence and would have significantly dented their rivals confidence.

Moore told icLiverpool: ‘Games like this could have a big psychological impact. Forest are such a massive club and heavy spenders on the money side, not just in what they pay to bring in players but also in wages.’

‘We have to respect them but at the same time show no fear. We are the home side. They should be looking at the fact that we have closed the gap on them to a point over the last two games.’

The Tranmere boss has a few injury worries ahead of the game, most notably, former Mansfield man Chris Greenacre is a doubt but Moore has recently stated his confidence in a possible forward line of former Forest man Gareth Taylor and Calvin Zola.
