The Nottingham Forest fixtures for the 2017-18 Championship season were recently announced with the changes already being made.

Of course, we’ll see a number of further amendments after this one.

The Forest meeting against Millwall, the opening fixture scheduled for the new season at the City Ground, has had a change to kick off time and actual day set.

Due to kick off at 3pm on Saturday 5th August this Championship encounter has seen the start time brought forward to Friday 4th August.

Obviously, Millwall will still come to the City Ground but this will now have a 7:45pm kick off on the Friday.

Why the change? Well, to avoid a clash with Nottinghamshire’s T20 Blast fixture taking place at Trent Bridge on Saturday 5th August.

Meanwhile, it was also confirmed the corresponding fixture at the Den, set for Saturday 31st March 2018, has been brought forward to Good Friday, 30th March, having a 1pm kick off.
