As if the 4-2 defeat at home to Watford last night wasn’t bad enough, news from the Nottingham Forest Official Site today, states that midfielder Lewis McGugan could be out of contention for up to six weeks.

The injury occurred following a horrible collision with Watford keeper Scott Loach. McGugan suffered what was described as a depressed fracture to his cheekbone. They say that even when he’s fully recovered he’ll have to wear a protective face mask, in a kind of Phantom of the Opera stylee.

NFFC described the collision as accidental, but it looked pretty much far from that from where I sat. This photograph in the forum, shows just how ugly a challenge it was.
