Flying winger Garath McCleary is one of three nominees for the Football League’s Championship Player of the Month Award for March, according to the FL’s official site.

McCleary hit the net 6 times during March, with 4 of those goals coming in the 7-3 demolition away at Leeds a fortnight ago.

The 24 year old is having his best season for the Reds’ since signing from Bromley in 2008 and has scored 9 goals in 20 appearances so far this campaign.

Also nominated for the award are, Ian Harte of Reading, and Kelvin Davis of Southampton. The winner will be announced on Friday.
