Forest manager Colin Calderwood believes his side have consolidated their position in the League 1 playoff placings.

Forest sit in 4th place, 7 points clear of Tranmere in 7th. With only 5 games left to play, the Reds are virtually assured of a place in the end of season deciders.

He told the official site. ‘We’re trying to cement a playoff place and we’ve taken a step in the right direction. Automatic is not in the forefront of our minds, but we don’t want to look a gift horse in the mouth and if the opportunity were to arise, we’ve got to take maximum points from our remaining 5 games.’

He was pleased with the way in which they came back from being a goal down, but thought they should have scored more. The match stats would certainly back that up with 20 attempts on goal and 69% possession. But a win is a win and that’s all that matters at this stage.
