The 3-0 win against Cheltenham saw the Reds unbeaten run stretch to 7 games and after all the weekends fixtures now sit in 4th spot in League 1. Manager Colin Calderwood is understandably chuffed to bits at the moment and praised the whole team for their efforts.

Calderwood recognises that the upturn in form for the team has coincided with the introduction of Chris Cohen into the side. He told the official site .’When he became fit our results improved. I can’t be anything but delighted with his input so far.’ Cohen was instrumental in setting up two of the goals in the win at Whaddon Road, but it will be Kris Commons who will get the plaudits after grabbing the second hat-trick of his Forest career.

Calderwwood had praise for the whole of the squad saying. ‘Kris will get the headlines today, but the foundation for the hat-trick was a lot of hard work and effort from the rest of the team.’ The only setback from the game for Forest was the sight of defender Wes Morgan going off with a knee injury, but CC is confident he will make next weeks game against Doncaster at home.
