I’m not quite sure if we should classify this as the end of an era or the end of an error?
I’ll admit that I was pretty excited to see us sign Aro Muric, talking quite positively about him in the buildup to him putting pen to paper, but after a terrible start to his tenure in goal that he never really recovered from, and the impressive displays of Brice Samba spelled the end of his time at the City Ground before it really had a chance to get going, and he’s been barely seen ever since.
Now according to a report from Daniel Taylor at The Athletic, the Kosovan shot-stopper will return to Manchester City for the rest of the season rather than see it out with Forest.
FIFA had put rules in place that would allow players to extend their contracts for longer than stated due to the current climate, but obviously that’s something that hasn’t been taken up by the club.
Was Muric our worst bit of business this season?
Yes
No
And it seems as if Forest fans aren’t too disappointed to see him leave based on these comments made by supporters on social media in the aftermath of the news.
Not surprising really. Best for everyone

Garbage keeper. Belongs in National League North/South

What a waste of money , Confidence and commanding you want in a Keeper . He showed neither.

Classic example of a player believing he’s better than he actually is

I’m better than him🤣

I was right behind the goal on the first row at the Arsenal game and I have to say his whole attitude and body language was shocking. Terrible interaction with the rest of the team. Clearly wanted to be elsewhere.

What about you? What did you make of Aro Muric’s time at the club?
