The League Cup is a bit of a tricky one.

Do you rest players and give players on the bench some game time? Or do you play the first team, win and use the momentum in the league campaign?

It appears as though Sabri Lamouchi isn’t a fan of the former, or at least he isn’t for this match. If Forest draw some team from five tiers below them in the FA Cup, then it will be interesting to see what his philosophy is. Speaking ahead of tonight’s game with Fleetwood, the Frenchman was quoted as saying:

“The league is always the priority but the best way to prepare for Birmingham is to play well and win against Fleetwood. For that reason, I will pick the best team I have available and make sure we go out there to win the game in front of our home supporters.”

So with it looking as if Forest are going to go closer to full strength than ‘weak’ tonight, how did the fans react to the news?

Let’s just say they were split on the matter, whilst the majority thought that going into the game all guns blazing and looking for the win was a good idea, one fan was slightly concerned that the full squad wasn’t being utilised.

I suppose when you’ve got a squad as large as Forest’s, you may as well use them.
