Well, that should certainly cheer some people up after Tuesday night.
It looks as if the future at Nottingham Forest is going to be secure for some time to come. Well, it is for one position anyway, and until 2024, but you get where I’m going with this.
The club announced yesterday that centre-back Joe Worrall had signed a new contract with the club, keeping him at the City Ground until the summer of 2024.
This season has really been the making of the 23-year-old, after spending last season on loan in Scotland with Rangers, he’s come back to cement his place in the first-team, playing every minute of every game so far in the league, and has even been tipped by some to be a future captain at the club.
So when the news came through that the deal was about to be done, Forest fans could not contain themselves that ‘one of their own’ is set to be with them for the foreseeable future, with many talking about what that future is set to contain.
Brilliant news.

He absolutely deserves it. I was a little critical of him prior to him going to Rangers but he’s come back this season and played fantastically well. Fair to him!

Joe’s been magnificent this season so this is great news. Him and Figs can be our CB pairing for many seasons to come.

Is Worrall a future Forest captain?
Yes
No
Now, if only they could tie up Sabri Lamouchi’s contract at the same time, that sure would be swell.
