Lynch Loan Extended – Camp Deal On Hold

Nottingham Forest have announced that on loan Brighton defender Joel Lynch is to stay at the club until the end of the season.

A deal has been reached between both clubs for the defender to stay here on loan. That’s marginally better than paying a fee for him in my opinion, but if we insist on playing him at left back, it’s a poor move. He’s a recognised central defender, who also plays on the flank, but his performances in a Red shirt have been under par to put it mildly. Maybe a more central role will bring out the best in him, but I’m not sure.

The interesting part from the above article on the official site, is that the deal to make keeper Lee Camp a permanent signing may not be quite as dead as we think. The player intimated that the club had stalled on any proposed deal, but according to this latest news, any deal for the fans favourite has been put on hold until a new manager is in place. It does beg the question of why they can do a deal for Lynch and not Camp, but at least it’s still on the cards and hopefully not as dead in the water as we thought.
