Some Nottingham Forest fans have been reacting to former Red Wes Morgan and his wonder-strike during our Carling Cup victory over our neighbours Notts County in 2011.
With the current season at a standstill due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, supporters took a trip down memory lane and were reminiscing about a famous night at the City Ground.
We looked to be on our way out of the league cup as we were 3-2 down, but Morgan struck a first-time shot into the roof of the net which raised the roof. Forest were victorious on penalties thanks to County’s Neal Bishop who completing missed his spot-kick.
Would you like to see Wes Morgan at Forest?
Yes
No
Forest haven’t faced County over the years and have only met six times in two decades. However, this meeting is one of the more memorable ones and we have Morgan to thank for that.
As a result, supporters were delighted and made their feelings clear on social media. One fan said that he loved Morgan, while another stated that it is a night that should never be forgotten.
Haha yes mate! Head went after James mac was in the away end with his shirt off waving it around his headπ

Served them right for unnecessarily wearing their away kit in the one fixture between the two clubs in about two decades.
