Because let’s face it, for every great player we get like a Samba Sow, there will always be an Aro Muric that balances it out when it comes to fan’s feelings about them.
But this debate is more about the ones that didn’t work out rather than the ones who did.
Paul Taylor of The Athletic, has recently put together an article where he tries to find out precisely who the worst foreign player has been that Nottingham Forest have signed in the last twenty years, sparked off by another recent article in which he tried to find out who the best import has been over the same time period, won by Brice Samba.
Was Muric our worst bit of business this season?
Yes
No
In his article he narrowed it down to Nicklas Bendtner, Kevin Gomis, Rafik Djebbour, Nicolao Dumitru, Lica and Gil Dias, but he also threw the idea out on social media as well for fans to debate between themselves and they came up with some answers and reasons of their own.
Dumitru. Hands down. There is no other answer

Ok, Dias has bad games but he is nowhere close to being the worst signing.
Dumitru was the worst player but for the amount it cost the club Djebbour has to win.

Rafik Djebbour cost us over £1m in transfer fees and, I daresay, a huge amount in wages if Abdoun is anything to go by. He was absolutely dreadful.

What about you? Who do you think should take the distinction?
