According to BBC East Midlands Today, Leicester City have turned down a bid from Nottingham Forest for defender Wes Morgan.

Rumours have been gathering pace that the former Red was a summer transfer target for Billy Davies and the programme last night confirmed that an offer has been made, but rejected by City.

Morgan, who will be 30 in January made just over 400 appearances in a ten year career at the City Ground and was a firm favourite with a large number of fans. He signed for the Foxes at the beginning of last season, for a fee thought to be in the region of £800,000.

The Nottingham born centre half had a good season with Leicester and was made club captain, as well as being voted Player of the Year. If Forest are serious about resigning Morgan, they will have to improve on their rumoured opening bid of £750,000.
