Leyton Orient remain the early season pacesetters in League 1, after beating Yeovil away 1-0. Adam Boyd got them the second half goal that regained them top spot after Tranmere had briefly led due to Friday nights’ 2-1 win at home to Luton. The O’s have a 3 point lead ahead of second placed Tranmere and a comfortable 6 point gap, separates them from Hartlepool in third.

The Monkey Hangers could only manage a 1-1 draw with Swindon and now share third spot with Carlisle and Yeovil on 10 points. Carlisle lost 2-1 to Swansea on Friday, but still stay ahead of Brighton on 9, who lost 1-0 to the Reds next league opponents Gillingham.

Southend kept in touch with the leaders with a 1-0 win at bottom of the table Oldham, despite being down to 10 men. The Leeds bandwagon shows no sign of halting yet as they beat Bristol Rovers 3-0 to wipe out the 15 point deficit and put the first points on the board for the Whites.

Forest of course scrapped for a 2-0 win at Port Vale for our first win of the season and charged triumphantly all the way up to 14th place. Struggling Millwall remain in the bottom 3, after falling 2-1 at home to Walsall.
