Nottingham Forest are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Henri Lansbury in the three one victory over Fulham at the weekend at Craven Cottage was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Lansbury was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘Lansbury shone in the Forest midfield as they ended their eight-game winless run with a 3-1 triumph at Fulham. The captain converted from the spot for his first goal since November, and he cleverly flicked home in the second half to guarantee Nottingham Forest’s Sky Bet Championship survival.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Lansbury for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.

Full Team:

Joel Coleman (Oldham Athletic), Darius Charles (Wimbledon), Lewis Dunk (Brighton), Marc Roberts (Barnsley), Michael Jacobs (Wigan Athletic), Michael O’Connor (Port Vale), Henri Lansbury (Nottingham Forest), Dean Parrett (Stevenage), Chris Taylor (Millwall), James Hanson (Bradford City), Lucas Akins (Burton Albion).

Manager – John Still (Dagenham and Redbridge).
